Title: Love & Happiness by Ben Burgess, Jr.
Genre: Urban Fiction
What I loved about the book: I loved that the story was told in first person from the husband and wife's alternating point of views. Although Karen was married to Chris and had two beautiful girls, she had two boyfriends on the side, Raheem and Tyrell. Karen worked with Tyrell and Raheem was her personal fitness trainer. After their identical cell phones got mixed up, Chris found out about the other two men and left his wife. From there, Karen's entire world started spiraling downward in fast motion... Will she be able to save her marriage after breaking it off with both of these men?
What I didn't love about the book: I didn't love that some of the sex scenes were over the top for me. As much as I wanted to like Karen, her actions kept confusing me. There were also some editing issues and especially tense changes that interrupted the flow of the storyline at times, but I still kept reading. Overall, I think this was a good lesson on why not to cheat and I would recommend it to married people or even those thinking about getting married. It's not to be taken lightly as evidenced by this novel.
