Dangerously in Love by Michelle Kimbrough
GENRE: Romantic Suspense
WHAT I LOVED ABOUT THE BOOK:
I loved the suspenseful tone of the book which made for an engaging and entertaining read. It was like watching one of my favorite movies from the eighties titled, Body Heat, with Kathleen Turner and William Hurt. I could actually feel the heat and just see the smoke coming off the screen with each sexy scene. With the setting in Chicago, you have an attorney turned landscaper, Hilton "Hill" Parker, who falls in love with his rich client's wife, Caitlin Church. After falling deeper between her greedy claws, he's manipulated into making some very tough decisions in order to keep her sweaty body by his side. As his life spins completely out of control, he comes to realize that Caitlin may not be who he really thought she was, but is it too late to save himself?
WHAT I DIDN'T LOVE ABOUT THE BOOK:
Hill Parker was an educated man and I refuse to believe that he was so whipped that he couldn't see some of the happenings that were coming his way or even the ones that passed him by. Although I had several questions, I kept reading because I wanted to see how the story would end. And even though I had figured out some of the plot, there were still a few suprises at the end which made it worth my while to finish reading the book.
Thank you for reading my blog post today. Until next time... just keep reading!
