Government-worker turned novelist Terry M. Walker has spun a tale that is far from your typical, run-of-the-mill romance. Hers is the story of a Christian woman, Shayna, who unknowingly marries a figure from the underworld. As Shayna's marriage progresses, clues begin to abound that her husband is not who he has pretended to be, and the tense drama unfolds. The husband wants to keep his innocent wife at all costs, while she on the other hand, wrestles with escaping the marriage. Even if she chooses to leave, the true question is … will he let her?

"Engaging from the word go! This is a page turner of excitement, drama, romance and exotic adventure between a husband and his wife, not often written about on this level. This sizzles," endorses former Spike Lee film producer Monty Ross. New York Times best-selling author and Howard alumni, Omar Tyree has also endorsed the book.

Ms. Walker was born and raised in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and today lives in Upper Marlboro. She has worked for the U.S. Department of Justice for decades, currently as a budget analyst. She is a devoted Christian, wife, mother and grandmother.

Approximately ten years ago, Ms. Walker began working on a book and completed all of nine pages. A few years back, she put pen to paper again, picking up where she left off, but this time she got to page 800. The result is a trilogy, of which A Bittersweet Love is the second in the series.
